In addition to temporary staffing, Staffing Industry Analysts also covers these related staffing service sectors: third-party placement, outplacement, and staff leasing (PEOs). Founded in 1989, the company is headquartered in Los Altos, California.

Through membership of this association, ICS is able to leverage the many years of knowledge its members hold, and in turn translate that into successful daily business operations. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest professional association devoted to human resource management.

Their mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most current and comprehensive resources, and to advance the profession by promoting HR’s essential, strategic role. Founded in 1948, SHRM represents more than 225,000 individual members in over 125 countries, and has a network of more than 575 affiliated chapters in the United States, as well as offices in China and India.

New York Staffing Association

ICS utilizes the educational resources we have access to via the membership of the NYSA. The New York Staffing Association (NYSA) is the local affiliated chapter of the American Staffing Association (ASA). NYSA is the trade association that promotes the interests of the staffing industry through legal and legislative advocacy, education, and the advancement of high standards of ethical conduct.

It serves as the voice of the industry in state efforts to communicate industry matters to association members, legislative leaders, regulators, the news media and the general public. The association maintains a strict code of ethics, and members pledge to uphold the highest ethical standards for their business, and for the industry. NYSA is one of the largest affiliated chapters of the American Staffing Association. It has chapters in Albany, Buffalo, Long Island, New York (Metro), Rochester, and Westchester. NYSA represents a diverse base of companies, ranging from small independently-owned staffing companies to large national agencies.

ICS leverages the relationships we hold with the members of the ASA. The American Staffing Association is the voice of the U.S. staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry. ASA and its affiliated chapters advance the interests of staffing and recruiting firms of all sizes and across all sectors through legal and legislative advocacy, public relations, education, and the promotion of high standards of legal, ethical, and professional practices.
